FOUR SEASONS RESORT PALM BEACH… “Coastal Breezes & Sophisticated Comfort!”

Gentle coastal breezes that embrace your every move…the salty essence of the breaking surf from an expansive ocean…closing your eyes, even if just for a moment in time, and experiencing complete bliss as velvety smooth sand fills in around your bare feet where you stand. Heaven perhaps? Maybe the next best thing. Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach upholds its stellar reputation by creating a euphoric ambiance for its guests, presenting an upscale dignified glamour for all to enjoy, and offering some of the most luxurious and tranquil accommodations around. Four Seasons selected yet another ideal location when they decided to enter the Palm Beach arena by marking their territory on six acres of immaculate oceanfront property. And this Florida hideaway was just the place for them. The city, also known by locals as ‘Palm Beach Island’ and ‘The Island of Palm Beach’ is the easternmost town in Florida. A barrier island, Palm Beach is 16 miles long, is 65 miles north of popular Miami, and is separated from Lake Worth and West Palm Beach by the Intracoastal Waterway. A sophisticated beach neighborhood invites those from afar, and greets those who are around on a daily basis projecting a feeling of family…even among strangers. This upscale close-knit community is proud of what they have created.

The interior of the Four Seasons Resort in Palm Beach is everything one could imagine. Classic, sophisticated, elegant. Upon first approach, uniformed smiling attendants greet guests as they assist with luggage and escort arriving parties inside. Ushered to the registration area along an elaborate entrance of columns and travertine and marble in soothing tones, the staff takes great pride in their customer service proficiency as guests’ reservations are confirmed and seamless registrations are expertly executed.

Main Entrance, Lobby Lounge, & Stunning Floral Arrangements

I am always enamored by Four Seasons’ extravagant floral arrangements. Not once have we visited one of these locations and not been awed by multiple unique centerpieces throughout the properties.

Premier Ocean View Suite

The Premiere Ocean View Suite offers breathtaking views of the surf and expansive perspectives of the Palm Beach coastline. Above, our guest quarters allowed for relaxation and enjoyment with an extended balcony, living room, additional powder room, and ample mobility within the master bedroom and connecting bath. We enjoyed the sunset and sunrise views from the patio before and after meetings my husband was attending, and found time to enjoy resort amenities while we were there.

Resort Pool Bar, View of the Pool Terrace & Private Cabanas

The resort pool is intricately surfaced with Egyptian limestone, while private cabanas offer shade from the sun’s rays. Chilled towels, Evian spritzes and iced water are always complimentary here as well as seasonal fruit treats and sunglass cleaning for in-house guests. Lush landscape and perfectly-positioned comfortable lounge furniture is enhanced by an inviting whirlpool and the tucked-away pool bar that will cater to your every desire as ocean breezes play puppetry with towering palms in celebration of visiting guests and returning locals.

The Ocean, the Pool Terrace, Mojitos On the Beach & Sand and Surf

Several hours of free time allowed us a relaxing visit to the beach upon our arrival. There, we found a secluded section of beach with lounge chairs and umbrellas awaiting us. Fresh towels in abundance and iced water was served, and we were presented with two hand-shaken Cuban mojitos from the pool bar almost instantly. Removing my sandals and digging my toes into the warm soft sand beneath me was heavenly. The fresh muddled mint and lime in my cocktail was refreshing and cooling in the warm afternoon sun, and the comforting view of the untouched turquoise splendor before us placed us in a state of contentment. The temptation to spend the night in that very spot as we watched the sun setting over the horizon hours later crossed our minds more than once, but we finally relented and returned to our suite to prepare for dinner that night.

Unmistakable elegance abounds as far as the eye can see from the tides of an azure ocean to the smooth silken sand along the coastline to the memorable sunsets that remain in your memory forever, while thoughts of crafting plans to return here come into your mind immediately…even before your trip is halfway over.

TAPESTRY BAR @ BREAKERS HOTEL… “Classic Ambiance With a Taste of St. Tropez!”

Palm Beach is a favorite getaway for us. We love everything Palm Beach and are happy to share our adventures and experiences with others, as they are always undeniably fabulous times. Half for my husband’s business meetings and half for pleasure, we wanted to make a point to share our review of The Breakers Hotel & Spa with our readers. Specifically, the beautiful views of the architectural building that encompasses the delightful customer service and spirit of the property as well as our enjoyable time shared at the Tapestry Bar.

We got to The Breakers Resort on the final evening of our last trip to Palm Beach. The weather really wasn’t in our favor, as it was cloudy and raining off and on. It’s Florida. Rain happens there. But despite that minor setback, we continued on to have cocktails before our dinner back at our hotel.

Housed inside is the original 1920 lobby. A stunning timepiece of the city, The Breakers is reminiscent of strolling through a massive castle from centuries gone by, just with small modernized touched that keeps it in tune with the present. The above outdoor courtyard showcases a beautiful fountain, lush foliage and towering intricately-detailed walls.

The close-up of the fountain above offers a relaxing and calming environment for a stroll before dinner or cocktails.

A year-round vacation spot for travelers and return guests, this palatial resort presents a 140-acre oceanfront expanse. Italian-Renaissance decor will enchant your visual perception of the building. The property boasts over 1,800 staff members and continues to honor it’s family heritage through the tens of millions of dollars it receives each year from the original founder’s descendants. Constant renovation, modification and enhancements are maintained to keep The Breakers looking the way it does today. Now in it’s second century of existence, this incredible institution of the area still stuns, awes and flabbergasts its visitors and regulars alike.

I thought the Bromeliad flower above with its brilliant red was beautiful. I snapped a photo to share with you. I really appreciated the way it just jumped right out at me when I walked past it…the massive foliage in the shot below shows more of the plants and palms that border the courtyard.

We felt like we were in Germany walking into a towering castle as soon as we entered the main building that led to the Tapestry Bar, where we had cocktails that evening…

The intricate ceilings continued as we approached the hallway that led us into the lounge area below…

Named for its original antique tapestries hung on the walls of the ballroom-sized space below, we selected a comfortable mahogany-carved sofa and ordered our beverages…the vintage mahogany bar was constructed from an original turn-of-the-19th-century mantle from Caxton Hall in London!

The candle-lit ambiance was very pleasant. On an elongated table behind us were five decorative glass-mosaic candle flutes that enhances the environment…

We only had a couple of martinis while we were there, because we were meeting another couple at another location. But we both selected the Basil Watermelon Martini with watermelon infused pomegranate vodka and cranberry juice as our libations before departing…fruity but not overly sweet, reasonably priced for the quality and a stunning presentation. The live jazz trio was also a nice touch!

Basil Watermelon Martini

Tapestry bar is definitely on our list to return to on our next visit to Palm Beach. We’ll get more details about their amazing Happy Hour they offer there then as well!

  • ESTABLISHMENT / DECOR: Out of the nine restaurants and five bars inside The Breakers Hotel & Resort, we found ourselves visiting the Tapestry Bar. The old world feel of antique tapestries, history-filled furnishings, and mahogany bar made from a mantle from a great hall in London made it quite a conversation piece.
  • FOOD / DRINK: We’ll try the food on our next visit, but as far as the cocktails are concerned, our Basil Watermelon martinis were phenomenal.
  • LOCATION: One South County Road Palm Beach, Florida 33480 inside the Breakers Hotel & Spa.
  • HOURS: Sundays through Thursdays from 5 PM – 12 midnight, then on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 PM – 1 AM.
  • SERVICE / STAFF: The attention to detail and professionalism of the smiling staff was noticed and appreciated.
  • PRICE / VALUE: Fair prices for the savory high quality ingredients used.
  • CORKAGE FEE: No outside alcohol permitted inside Tapestry Bar.
  • PARKING: Valet parking at the main entrance allows for ease and quicker access into the hotel.
  • TOTAL BILL: Two Basil Watermelon martinis brought the bill to just over $28 (including tax). Would we do it again? Absolutely!

CUCINA DELL’ ARTE ITALIAN RESTAURAUNT… “A Palm Beach Locals Favorite!”

On popular Royal Poinciana Way, you will find a cozy Italian eatery sitting along a line of venues along the street. Directly on a popular sidewalk where locals and visitors alike trek back and forth throughout the day, there’s no better place than Cucina Dell’ Arte to satisfy your craving for an early Breakfast, long lingering Lunch or romantic Dinner with someone special.  Our most recent trip to Palm Beach involved dinner at Cucina Dell’ Arte, and we are happy tpass along our glowing review of this fine neighborhood bistro commonly frequented by local celebrities and a normal site for the Palm Beach Power Lunch.

We arrived in the evening after dark. To our contentment, there wasn’t too much of a crowd or noise, so we settled in at one of the four patio tables lining the sidewalk.  The establishment is colorful and vibrant with chandeliers overhead and uniquely, a disco ball handing above the bar inside!  Framed Italian posters accentuate the neutral-toned walls, while an eclectic decor catches one’s eye every now and again.  The restaurant has a fun, exciting, yet sophisticated atmosphere we enjoyed.

Fresh bread was brought to our table with olive oil-basted roasted garlic for spreading onto the rolls. Delicious and creamy, the marinated garlic was an expert pairing.

Burrata With Tomatoes

We started with the Burrata With Tomatoes above. Fresh chilled Burrata cheese with thick slices of freshly-cut tomatoes, basil and a Tuscan olive oil.  What a terrific way to start a meal!  Below, we shared the Bistecca Maria Rossa, grilled skirt steak with tomato salsa, crumbled gorgonzola and potato hash…

Bistecca Maria Rossa

We couldn’t help but try their popular pizza while we were there also.  Below, we selected Cucina Dell’ Arte’s Margherita Pizza with mozzerella and fresh tomato and basil…

Margherita Pizza

I especially loved the floral touch the staff deliveres with these fresh Gerber Daisies that are placed in a bud vase on each table!

A great local spot to catch up with old friends, meet new ones and have a wonderful time while dining in a unique establishment!

  • ESTABLISHMENT / DECOR: Italian, eclectic, fun and colorful creative decor.
  • FOOD / DRINK: Freshly-prepared Italian favorites, flavorful preparation, vibrant presentation and a terrific selection of wines with a full bar inside.
  • LOCATION: Cucina Dell’ Arte is located at 257 Royal Poinciana Way in Palm Beach, FL 33480.
  • HOURS: The restaurant is open 365 days a year for Breakfast from 7-11 AM, Lunch from 11 AM – 5 PM, and for Dinner from 5 PM -3 AM.
  • SERVICE / STAFF: We received incredible service and  quick prompt presentation of the items we ordered.
  • PRICE / VALUE: The value of the cuisine we enjoyed was right on the money.  Delicious sauces and marinades, fresh crisp Italian bread with roasted garlic, Tuscan olive oils and savory entrees and appetizers.
  • CORKAGE FEE: $35 per bottle
  • TOTAL BILL: Our final bill came to $76.42, which included two glasses of wine, the Burrata With Tomato appetizer, a Margherita Pizza and the Bistecca Maria Rossa, which we were happy to pay for the quality of the dishes we were served! Definitely worth the splurge!

THE RESTAURANT @ FOUR SEASONS RESORT PALM BEACH…”Upscale Elegance!”

On a business trip to Palm Beach, Florida, my husband and I decided to try out the hotel’s main restaurant, quite simply called The Restaurant. After a full day of meetings, my husband just wanted to relax and stay in-house. So we did. The Restaurant was an excellent choice. The atmosphere was relaxed, elegant and private despite the size of the beautifully-appointed expanse. The hostess gave us a gentle smile, welcoming us in, and showed us to a table next to a towering floor-to-ceiling arched window over-looking the outside patio where we requested to be seated for dinner.

We were not unfamiliar with Four Season’s dining reputation. Having had previously dined at the Four Seasons in Atlanta GA, Las Vegas NV and Scottsdale AZ, we were anticipating great things from this locale as well. We were not disappointed by any means.

If there’s one thing that has always stood out with me regarding the Four Seasons Resorts besides their excellent cuisine and strict attention to detail in serving their guests, it’s the fact that they’ve always possessed a seamlessly unflawed articulation in the art of crafting breathtaking arrangements of massive sprays of flowers. Below, in the restaurant entry, fresh changes of their main flower arrangement were changed out every other day. Beautiful sprays of these colorful flora abound around the property in the lobby, guest suites, dining facilities and ballrooms enhancing an already meticulously stunning environment.

The ambiance of The Restaurant is beachy with an elegant connotation focused on creating a comforting inviting environment for their hungry sojourners. The chef’s skilled presentations and preparations of the cuisines offered ranged from traditional comfort foods to beautifully executed fresh seafood fare enhanced with an artistic flair not only to stimulate the palate, but also the visual and olfactory observance of the restaurant’s diners.

Well-dressed poised servers arrived promptly at out table side, greeting us and providing menus of the evenings edible selections freshly prepared by Chef Darryl Moiles. Known for The Restaurant’s American delicacies and seafood delights, we were not surprised by the quality, presentation and preparation that went into each of the dishes we ordered.

Above, we enjoyed a crisp glass of Chardonnay and a freshly-mixed Mojito before ordering. Below, a bread and cracker basket was presented to us with two distinct buttery hummus spreads.

The Tomato Basil soup below was flavorful and not too filling that we didn’t have room left for our entrees. Large enough to share between two people, this was a perfect starter.

Tomato Basil Soup

Braised Beef Brisket

Above, my husband and I debated over who was going to get what betwen the Braised Beef Brisket entree and the Soft Shell Crab dish below. We wound up getting them both and sharing them with one another.

Soft Shell Crab Entree

On our second of three nights at the hotel,we opted to leave the property and venture into the city for dinner, but our third and final evening there, we returned to The Restaurant in the hotel once again for dinner…

Burger “Beef” Sandwich

We chose their Burger Beef sandwich on an onion roll with melted cheese, lettuce, tomato and a savory tomato-based Aioli with fries, and the below Penne Pasta Bolognese on our second visit to the restaurant during our stay.

Penne Pasta Bolognese

What meal is complete without a sweet ending? A couple of cups of coffee and a trio of ice creams (pistachio, mango and Dulce de Leche) with fresh seasonal fruit was the perfect conclusion to two perfect dinners!

Ice Cream & Fresh Seasonal Berries

I loved that the waiters place your leftovers on nearby stools made especially for that purpose beside you at the table!

Our trip was complimented by two fantastic dining experiences at The Restaurant at the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach. We highly suggest visiting this establishment so you too can experience the excellent creativeness in the kitchen of Chef Darryl Moiles and his culinary team.

  • ESTABLISHMENT / DECOR: Elegant beachfront location beautified by coffered ceilings, tall columns along the restaurant walls, and cool tones welcome you in as you arrive for your evening feast.
  • FOOD / DRINK: Exceptional fare, visually stimulating presentation and savory memorable flavors are combined together for an amazing culinary experience.
  • LOCATION: The Restaurant is located at the Four Seasons Resort at 2800 South Ocean Boulevard in Palm Beach FL, 33480
  • HOURS: The Restaurant is available for dining every day between 5:30 PM and 10 PM. The restaurant bar is also open daily between 4:30 PM and 11 PM.
  • SERVICE / STAFF: Impeccable service, courteous hostesses and an all-around terrific feeling of appreciation.
  • PRICE / VALUE: Well worth the splurge, well worth the trip and well worth the experience!
  • CORKAGE FEE: $25 per bottle
  • PARKING: We were staying in the hotel for a few days, so the hotel valet had possession of our vehicle, but if you are stopping in for dinner at the hotel, valet will be happy to take care of your vehicle for you while you dine.
  • TOTAL BILL: Our total bill per night (including tax), averaged between about $112 and $76. That included items such as Mojitos, Chardonay, Pellegrino, coffee, dessert, soup, and four main entrees. However, one person could easily dine here for under $50 including tax) if wanted.
